Venus will be retrograde on Saturday, July 22 at 9:32pm EDT (please adjust for your time zone) until Sunday, September 3 at 9:21pm, EDT. The appearance of forward motion for Venus is already being impacted (we all know that planets only move forward but during retrograde they appear to move backward.)
Venus is the planet of beauty, pleasure, romantic relationships and most of all, she is the planet of mutual respect. Take time to look at all points of view in any interaction or decision you need to make that concerns other adults in your life. (Yes, Venus retrograde does impact children, but mostly in their interactions with other children.) If you can delay important decisions about purchasing homes, vehicles, gems, furniture for your home, etc, that would be best, but if you need to proceed with any of these items, take extra time to make decisions if at all possible. This is also not a good time for important decisions/discussions about relationships—wait until after September 18th if you can.
ABOUT LABOR DAY WEEKEND: If you will be in a country where Labor Day or another national holiday is being celebrated on September 4th, please be aware that 6 planets: Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will be retrograde that day. (Many Vedic astrologers don’t work with the outer planets, but this is probably not the best time to ignore them entirely.) Venus will still be stationing very strongly on Labor Day and Jupiter is also stationing strongly because September 4th is the first day that Jupiter is retrograde. If you would be happy doing so, celebrate at home this year! If you must travel, please be aware that many people will have some degree of confusion that day and allow much more time to get anywhere than you usually would. Venus’ retrograde cycle also impacts many people’s use of alcohol and recreational drugs—people tend to be less aware of how much they’ve consumed. Be aware of this tendency with regard to yourself and others and stay home or stay longer at your vacation location if you can!
